Business Manager

Fuse Theatre Ensemble is looking for a Business Manager to manage our payroll and taxes, including regular Quickbooks use, maintaining our accounts, and keeping an accurate record of our finances. The ideal candidate would be detail oriented, organized and comfortable and happy to work within the Queer community, with a strong focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion. 

Experience:

  • Quickbooks (1 year)

  • Payroll (1 year)

 

Job Duties:

  • Manage payroll and taxes

  • Maintenance and organization of digital files

  • Maintaining accounts

  • Paying bills

  • Coordinating with board treasurer

  • Keeping company updated on financials for each show

  • Grant writing

  • Meeting bi-weekly with the Managing Director

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge and experience with Quickbooks, taxes, and payroll

  • Ability to manage your own time

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities

  • Ability to communicate with clarity and kindness with people of all walks of life

  • Experience working or volunteering for a non-profit organization

  • Ability to work collaboratively, take direction, and meet deadlines

  • Desire to foster creative projects and growth

Schedule: This position is 5-10 flexible hours per week. There is no set schedule, as long as your work is completed in a reasonable time frame and payroll is met.

Compensation: $20/hr

Desired Start Date: November 2022

Ability to commute:

  • Ideal candidates will spend some of their time working in the theatre (located at 4319 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland) and some time working remotely from a personal device
